Dr Desmond Graham

Dr Desmond Graham is an aged care specialist known as a geriatrician.  Preferring to be known as a ‘Healthy Ageing Specialist’, he is passionate about educating and empowering the community about how to remain active and independent as we age.

Dr Des has over 14 years of medical training and experience starting with completing one year of nursing at the University of Tasmania, before transitioning to Newcastle University to complete Medical School Training.  He is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine and lecturers at the University of Sydney.  Being awarded the Alek Safarian Scholarship, he is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sydney, to further develop the tools needed to enact meaningful, long-lasting change within the healthcare sector.

Dr Des is the Lead Geriatrician at Geriatric Care Australia, where he leads a team of geriatricians that support patients in the community.  He is also the host of the Healthy Ageing Podcast.
