Immediately upon graduating with an MBBS in 2008 James pursued a 5 year international professional cycling career. James has since completed a masters degree in pain management and a graduate diploma in psychiatric medicine. James has extensive mental health experience, particularly in adolescent mental health. James’s clinical areas of interest also include paediatrics, sports medicine, chronic pain, lifestyle and preventative medicine and complex care coordination. He is passionate about primary care system reform and addressing the true underlying issues that lead to peoples presenting complaints. He has created and is now piloting through government funding an innovative online gateway that will help personalised everyday healthcare. James is accredited to provide Implanon insertion and can provide iron infusions. His other passions include underwater photography, snowboarding and spending time with his wife and four young children.
