Dr Rufus Ferrabee

Registered Specialist in General Practice
FRACGP, MBBS, iBSC

Dr Rufus Ferrabee is an experienced GP with over 10 years of practice in the UK and Australia. He is passionate about preventive health, mental wellbeing, and supporting young people. Prior to becoming a GP, he worked at the World Health Organization in Switzerland and Malawi developing child healthcare policy, and has held leadership roles in the UK promoting engagement of children and adolescents in General Practice. Rufus values continuity of care and believes in being there for patients through life’s most exciting and challenging moments.

When he isn’t working:
Rufus enjoys cooking dishes inspired by his travels, kayaking in the harbour, and playing tennis. His wife is a child and adolescent counsellor and psychotherapist, and her influence is an important part of his approach to care.

 

Dr Lisa Collins

Registered Specialist in General Practice
BM, MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG, PgDip Derm

Dr Lisa Collins is an experienced GP from the UK with over 15 years in medicine. She has worked in the NHS, Harley Street London, Auckland, New Zealand, and Australia. Lisa combines her expertise in Lifestyle Medicine and Health Coaching with practical patient care to support physical health, mental wellbeing, and overall quality of life. She also trained in Paediatrics and has gained international experience in Tanzania and Malaysia. Lisa is the Child Health Lead for Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN).

Dr Jennifer Duschl

Registered Specialist in General Practice
MRCGP, MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Jennifer Duschl is a warm, thorough and patient-focused GP who has recently made Sydney her home. She completed her medical degree at King’s College London in 2012 and spent six years working in Emergency Medicine before specialising as a GP, with further experience across Senior Health, Paediatrics, Mental Health, ENT, Women’s and Sexual Health.

Jennifer has a particular passion for skin health and skin cancer medicine. She has completed advanced training with the highly regarded Skin Cancer College of Australasia, earning Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy. This specialist training allows her to provide comprehensive skin checks, accurate early cancer detection, and skilled diagnostic biopsies and surgical excisions.

Alongside her skin cancer expertise, Jennifer offers minor procedures, cryotherapy, dermatoscopy, and broader dermatological care. Born to German parents and raised in Spain, she speaks English, German and Spanish, and has additional experience serving as an expedition doctor.

Dr Suzanne Hancock

Registered Specialist in General Practice
MB, ChB, DCH, DRCOG, FRACGP

Dr Sue Hancock trained in the UK at Sheffield University and emigrated to Australia in 2003. She holds post graduate diplomas in childrens and women’s health and enjoys all aspects of General Practice.

She worked in Emergency Medicine for 15 years at Mona Vale Hospital until it closed and keeps her skills updated working in the Urgent Care Centre in Mona Vale. She currently  supervises Sydney University Medical students and holds the title of Honary Associate Lecturer with Macquarie University supervising their Medical students .

Sue enjoys helping to train the next generation of Australian Doctors.

When she isn’t working:
Sue enjoys golfing and travelling to Europe each year to catch up with friends and family. She has two sons who are both following in her footsteps with medical careers, and she loves supporting their journeys.

Dr Maria Liddy

Registered Specialist in General Practice
MB BCh BAO, FRACGP, DRCOG, DFSRH, DCH, DME, DipDerm

Dr Maria Liddy graduated from Trinity College in Dublin and completed her GP training in London in 2006. After working as a GP in the UK, she moved to Sydney to continue her career.

With over 20 years of GP experience, Maria enjoys all aspects of patient care and has completed postgraduate diplomas in obstetrics, reproductive health, child health, care of the elderly, menopause, and weight management. She teaches medical students at the University of Sydney Medical School and contributes to the community as a volunteer GP for Street Side Medics and as a presenter for the Northern Beaches Radio medical show.

Maria speaks fluent Portuguese and basic Spanish.

Dr. George Foldes

M.B B.S. (Sydney), M.Med (Geriatrics, UNSW)
Specialist in General Practice

Dr George Foldes trained at Sydney University with postgraduate training in Paediatrics before completing his Master’s degree in Geriatrics at UNSW. He brings extensive experience in family medicine with a particular focus on health checks, preventative care, and minor surgical and dermatological procedures. Alongside his clinical work, George has been committed to teaching and examining medical students for over 20 years at both Sydney University and UNSW.

Joanna Lysien-Bednarz

Practice Nurse

Joanna Lysien-Bednarz is an experienced and compassionate Practice Nurse with a strong passion for primary care and preventative health. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury (1997) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney.

For the past seven years, Joanna has worked as a GP nurse in Sydney, developing expertise in patient-centred care and taking a proactive approach to support optimal health outcomes. Early in her career, she also gained experience in remote area nursing, providing her with a holistic perspective on healthcare.

Clinical Psychologist

Zia is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of international experience, having worked in South Africa and Australia across private practice, hospital, and organisational settings. She is committed to creating a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and understood.

Zia works with older adolescents (post-school age) and adults of all ages, tailoring therapy to individual needs and life stages.

Kye Conna

Physiotherapist
BExSc (UNSW), MPhysio (USYD)

Kye discovered his passion for physiotherapy during his undergraduate placement in sports and exercise management, and later completed his Master of Physiotherapy at Sydney University. With a background as a semi-professional footballer, he understands the physical and psychological demands of sport and works with athletes, older adults, and everyone in between to restore movement, manage pain, and reach their physical goals.

Trained in manual therapy and concussion management, Kye combines hands-on treatment with tailored exercise programs. He also runs falls prevention classes and is committed to helping patients of all ages maintain independence and mobility.

Outside work, Kye enjoys surfing, the gym, and playing football for Pittwater FC.

Jess Lee

Patient Support Worker

Jess is one of our Patient Support Workers at Terrey Hills Medical Centre, made possible through our partnership with PCCS. She helps patients address the social determinants of health, supporting physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

Her work includes social prescribing, mental health support, assistance with Centrelink, NDIS, aged care and housing, behaviour change guidance, and carer support services.
